The Legit Birthday Present.

   It was on October 19. My birthday. I woke up to a lot of calls and texts from friends and in my heart I thought it was going to be another normal birthday where friends and ofcourse banks where you have an account make you very special but it turned out to be a rather wonderful day.
    As I sat in a bus to school, I thought about how even though it was my birthday, it felt like a very normal day to me except for the tons of messages I had received and were to receive . I knew someone that looked nice with his shades on sat close to me but I didn't want to pay attention to him, it was my birthday and instead of thinking of how to celebrate, I only had thoughts of my activities for the day, my classes and assignments.
 I came to myself when the young man beside me asked for a particular faculty in school, I told him I was to alight at the same place so he should relax and wait till I was about to alight. When the bus got to our stop,I drew the man's attention as I came down the bus,just as I was about to cross the road, another passenger told me to help the same young man that sat close to me to cross the road as well, that was when I realized that all the while I was sitting close to a blind man.
I took him to a restaurant as he requested,paid for his meal and took him to the office where he was supposed to take his result as a graduate of the school. There, he realised that he had forgotten a document so I decided to take him home to pick it up.
   At home,I also noticed that the guy he was staying with at the time was also blind and these people were not using any help to get their activities done, I started wondering how the young man got into the bus in the first place.
It's really amazing that I had the opportunity to lend a helping hand to someone in dire need    of it,I consider it the best birthday gift I've ever received. I hope that in our individual lives, we would look for an opportunity to help. Practice an Act of Random Kindness today.

The Real Position of Women

                   The Real Position of Women Often times, this has been a regular debate amongst people. Where should a woman be placed in the society. Some people say she should be below the man since he is her superior and of course the "weaker vessel ". This idea is particular to the "old schools " as the case may be, those that are traditional in thinking.  Others think women should be placed on the same level with the man, hence the feminist movement. They think women should enjoy the same privileges as men do so there should not be any discrimination on the grounds of sex. Back Then When....

Ok, so I'm gisting with my roommate and we are discussing the silly things we did as teenagers.  Remember when you were busy making midnight calls to one boy that year, when you were sneaking around at night like a rat looking for a comfortable place for the call. I particularly remember how many times my mum seized my phone just because the noise from my laugher at night was so loud.
